Sun ART̉
Sun ART̉ provides death benefit protection that can be renewed each year without evidence of insurability. The death benefit remains the same and the premium increases annually. When your needs change, you can convert your Sun ART policy to a permanent policy.
Sun ART is ideal for individuals looking for affordable, short term protection, and is available in face amounts of $250,000 or more. Premiums, which increase annually, are guaranteed for the first ten years. After that time, premiums may be adjusted by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada; however, they can never exceed the contractual maximums. Additionally, Sun ART can be renewed each year without evidence of insurability, within policy guidelines, up to age 100; or, Sun ART can be converted to an eligible permanent policy without evidence of insurability. This option is available to you, within policy guidelines, until the earlier of age 70 or ten policy years.
You can also enhance your Sun ART protection with the following riders:
- Waiver of Premium: Issued through age 55, this option ensures that your premiums will be paid for you if you become totally disabled.
- Accidental Death Benefit: This option allows you to increase the death benefit should you die by accidental means.
- Estate Preservation: This option provides an additional level death benefit should the insured die within the first four policy years.
- Death Benefit Accelerator: This option, which is automatically included in your policy at no extra cost, allows you to access a portion of the face amount in advance should you become terminally ill.
